The Nevada Small Business Development Center is a statewide resource for business assistance, providing a unique array of services, expertise and training in all areas including starting, growth, and development of a business. The Nevada SBDC also offers information and guidance in understanding and complying with environmental regulations. In addition, the Nevada SBDC provides useful information and analysis of the economy, environment and demographic data to help businesses, government and other organizations promote economic growth in their communities.

SCORE, the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, is dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals. Since 1964, they have provided education and mentorship to more than 11 million entrepreneurs.

Urban Chamber of Commerce

The Urban Chamber of Commerce is an advocate for the creation, growth and general welfare of African American businesses in the Las Vegas community. The Urban Chamber of Commerce actively promotes the expansion of business opportunities on behalf of its members through referrals, partnerships, seminars, technical assistance and marketing. The Urban Chamber of Commerce focuses on economic and business development, education, convention/tourism and special projects.

Henderson Chamber of Commerce

Career Services focuses on employment needs for currently enrolled students and alumni. Employer services can be provided at any of our campus locations, free of charge.

Qualifications for the Employer
Employers must have an appropriate business license, a Federal Tax Identification Number, an unemployment insurance account and workers compensation number. All job announcements must be in compliance with Fair Labor Standards to be approved for posting.
Employers must not charge a fee to applicants.

Job Postings
Employers can post positions on Handshake. Please contact Career Services if you experience difficulty setting up an employer account at 702-651-5089.

Internships
Employers are encouraged to post internships on Handshake. Staff will help with linkages to the applicable 手机买球软件下载 programs, match students to your business environment and provide guidance to students involved in your company’s internship program.

Career Fairs
Job fairs are offered at various campuses throughout the year. Please contact one of our offices if your company would like to participate in specialized job fairs or to be added to our mailing list.

About Our Services

We are the One-Stop Career Center program that prepares young adults between the ages of 16-24 for the workforce through work-readiness workshops, trainings, leadership development, and educational skills training. While all career pathways are promoted, we specialize in working with employers in the following in-demand fields: Health Care, Transportation & Logistics, and Advanced Manufacturing & Construction. The objective of the program is to ensure that young adults have the necessary skills to e employable in the workforce and connected to in-demand occupations or placed in post-secondary education at the end of the program.

Work Experience

A work experience/Internship is a structured paid learning experience that will provide youth a unique opportunity for career exploration and skill development.

Process in which individual chooses an educational path or training or a job that fits their interests, skills, and abilities.
