The Textbook Assistance Program (TAP) is a free textbook loan program for students currently enrolled at 手机买球软件下载. Textbooks are distributed on a first come, first served basis and some textbooks may not be available, but students may check out multiple texts each semester.

Pathways to STEM Nevada

Pathways to STEM Nevada (formerly Nevada STEM Pipeline) has been developed as a resource to engage students, teachers, parents, and the community in STEM education and employment. This effort is at the forefront to increase the number of students interested in pursuing college degrees with the overarching goal of strengthening our future workforce and economic development in the state.

Nevada Small Business Development Center

The Nevada Small Business Development Center is a statewide resource for business assistance, providing a unique array of services, expertise and training in all areas including starting, growth, and development of a business. The Nevada SBDC also offers information and guidance in understanding and complying with environmental regulations. In addition, the Nevada SBDC provides useful information and analysis of the economy, environment and demographic data to help businesses, government and other organizations promote economic growth in their communities.

SCORE

SCORE, the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, is dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals. Since 1964, they have provided education and mentorship to more than 11 million entrepreneurs.

Urban Chamber of Commerce

The Urban Chamber of Commerce is an advocate for the creation, growth and general welfare of African American businesses in the Las Vegas community. The Urban Chamber of Commerce actively promotes the expansion of business opportunities on behalf of its members through referrals, partnerships, seminars, technical assistance and marketing. The Urban Chamber of Commerce focuses on economic and business development, education, convention/tourism and special projects.

Henderson Chamber of Commerce

The Henderson Chamber of Commerce (HCC) is the only organization in Henderson that represents businesses of all sizes, industries, and stages. Through identifying the needs of its members, the Henderson Chamber of Commerce harnesses the collective power of business to influence government outcomes through its legislative and issues committees as well as an Issues Mobilization Political Action Committee (IMPAC).

Vegas Chamber

The Vegas Chamber is the largest business organization in Nevada, focused on helping Nevada businesses succeed and create jobs.

Latin Chamber of Commerce

The Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce is the premier advocate for the Hispanic business, cultural and educational community in Nevada. Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce

The Asian Chamber of Commerce (ACC), formerly known as the Pacific and Asian Chamber of Commerce of Nevada was formed to serve and represent the professional and business interests of Nevada’s growing Asian Pacific Americans. ACC, a non-profit corporation, was founded with the primary goal of economic growth for its membership. Our goal is to become a major forum and significant economic force in bringing about political, social and economic party for Nevada’s Asian Pacific American community. Qualifications for the Employer
Employers must have an appropriate business license, a Federal Tax Identification Number, an unemployment insurance account and workers compensation number. All job announcements must be in compliance with Fair Labor Standards to be approved for posting.
Employers must not charge a fee to applicants.

Job Postings
Employers can post positions on Handshake. Please contact Career Services if you experience difficulty setting up an employer account at 702-651-5089.

Internships

About Our Services

We are the One-Stop Career Center program that prepares young adults between the ages of 16-24 for the workforce through work-readiness workshops, trainings, leadership development, and educational skills training. While all career pathways are promoted, we specialize in working with employers in the following in-demand fields: Health Care, Transportation & Logistics, and Advanced Manufacturing & Construction. The objective of the program is to ensure that young adults have the necessary skills to e employable in the workforce and connected to in-demand occupations or placed in post-secondary education at the end of the program.

Work Experience

A work experience/Internship is a structured paid learning experience that will provide youth a unique opportunity for career exploration and skill development.

Career Exploration

Process in which individual chooses an educational path or training or a job that fits their interests, skills, and abilities.
